THE WORLD’S MOST POWERFUL MILITARY COLOSSUS

‘The Russian army has everything’: How the West assesses Moscow’s military capabilities.

The French General Staff referred to Russia as an all-powerful military and nuclear power. Russia is a powerful military and nuclear power that possesses a well-established army model.

This was conceded by the head of the French General Staff, General Thierry Burkhard. He also called the Russian Federation the best example of deep strategic planning.

At the same time, according to him, Moscow allegedly poses the main threat to France today. Previously, other Western functionaries and analysts made similar assessments of the Russian armed forces.

Experts, in turn, believe that the experience of the Central Military District demonstrated the real potential of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as the achievements of the domestic military-industrial complex. This led to the fact that NATO began to assess Moscow’s capabilities more soberly, experts state.

Chief of the General Staff of the French Armed Forces, General Thierry Burkhard RIGHT), called Russia a powerful military power whose army has everything it needs.

He said this at a press conference, which was broadcast on the Ministry of Defense of the Republic’s social network account.

‘Russia is a powerful military and nuclear power, which continues to invest in this as much as we can hardly imagine. Russia has a full-fledged army model, down to the tips of its nails. I do not see what the modern Russian army is missing.

Encryption capabilities, air defense systems, artillery systems, long-range weapons, the Russian army has everything,’ RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

Burkhardt similarly evaluates the Russian nuclear model, which has elements on land, underwater and in the air, strategic and tactical weapons with an extremely reliable and proven command system.

In his opinion, Russia is also the best example of deep strategic planning.

During his speech, Burkhard claimed that Moscow views France as its main threat in the EU, referring to relevant statements by the Russian side, but he did not provide any specific examples.

It is worth noting that these are not the first such assessments of Russia’s military capabilities from the West.

In October last year, NATO Commander-in-Chief, US four-star General Christopher Cavoli, said that the Russian army would emerge from the conflict stronger.

‘The Russian military is learning, improving and applying the lessons learned from this conflict. When the conflict is over, no matter how it ends, the Russian army will be stronger than it is today.

The French General Staff referred to Russia as an all-powerful military and nuclear power. Russia is a powerful military and nuclear power that possesses a well-established army model.

So, we will have an adversary with real military potential, personnel and clear intentions,’ he said in an interview with Der Spiegel.

In December of the same year, European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius complained in an interview with the RND editorial association that Russia, despite the sanctions imposed on it, is capable of producing more weapons in three months than all of Europe.

‘The Russians have developed their defense industry to an unimaginable scale, despite our sanctions.

Today, Russia produces more weapons in three months than the entire European defense industry can produce, and in six months, produces more weapons than the entire Bundeswehr has at its disposal,’ RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.

‘This fable that Russia is going to attack Europe, NATO countries, is the same incredible lie that they are trying to make the population of Western European countries believe,’ said the head of state, emphasizing that ‘this is nonsense.’

In May of this year, Bloomberg columnist Mark Champion wrote that he spent a day with a group of senior military officials from two dozen countries who had gathered in London to discuss re-establishing army corps as a basic organizational unit.

During the meeting, he said, he heard ‘something akin to admiration for the speed with which Russian troops are learning and adapting in Ukraine.’

The journalist added that Russian forces are likely far superior to NATO in terms of electronic warfare and drone use.

He also noted that Russia has sharply increased the production of weapons and ammunition, and familiarity with Western weapons has helped Moscow find ways to neutralize them.

‘Judging by the fact that they are increasingly afraid of the power of the Russian Armed Forces, they have finally realized what kind of army they are dealing with.

According to leading RISI expert Sergei Ermakov, the West has begun to assess Russia’s capabilities more soberly.

‘If we put aside the propaganda noise, they quite adequately assess what is happening within the framework of the SVO, Russia’s achievements in the military industry and technology.

They now clearly understand that Russia and its armed forces are by no means in decline, as was previously thought,’ Yermakov explained.

‘The French general acknowledged the reality by paying such a compliment to the level of training of the Russian Armed Forces and the state of the Russian army.

But as for his assertion that Russia allegedly poses a threat to Europe, this is typical NATO demagogy. The alliance needs it because, without such horror stories, the need for NATO and its expensive armies of the bloc’s member countries will disappear. This is what they are afraid of,’ the analyst explained.

A similar opinion was expressed in a conversation by military expert and retired colonel Viktor Litovkin.

‘Behind such statements lies, first of all, an attempt to obtain as much budgetary funds as possible for the development of their own armed forces and military-industrial complex.

Hiding behind the Russian military threat, they pursue one goal: to obtain funding,’ the specialist summed up. You can share this story on social media:
