NO ONE CALLS ME SCARFACE NOW

To put it mildly, my family doctor, whose abilities are well beyond those of any professional doctor I have ever had the good fortune to be a patient of, was impressed.

Unable to wait for an appointment to see her, I had been attended to by two emergency doctors eight days previously.

During and after their examination of an ugly wound on my face between my lip and nose, they agreed that my ailment was likely to be a tumour, aka known as face cancer.

Naturally, I was unhappy when the pair of medics explained that, firstly, I would need to make an appointment with my family doctor.

Only Dra. Julia Petrovic could make a decision to make an appointment to see a specialist dermatologist.

Unfortunately, an eight-day wait was necessary before I could see the superbly trained, experienced medic.

What was I to do? The two doctors I had seen could only suggest keeping out of the sun in the meantime and avoiding chemist-supplied ointments.

Any sore on the face is unsightly, and this wound was no exception. Frankly, it was embarrassing.

Without delay, I contacted Carol, my psychic healer, who is a very dear friend. Ms. Carol Everett has helped me on several occasions and each time brought me relief.

RIGHT. Dra. Petrovic

Sending the selfies off to her, I crossed my fingers for the eight days to see Dra. Petrovic, Ms. Everett would use her extraordinary psychic healing powers to hopefully effect a cure.

There was no quick miracle, and after four days, I reported that the good news was that the unsightly blemish wasn’t any worse, but otherwise, there was no visible improvement.

Then there was a noticeable reduction in the tumor – if that was what it was. The wound was smaller and less livid.

By day six, two days before my appointment with my family doctor, the blemish had virtually disappeared.

Having to see my doctor for another matter, I kept my appointment anyway. But fortunately, I had on my Smartphone the photographs of my supposed tumor. I shuddered to see them again.

LEFT. HEALER Ms. Carol Everett.

Then, by the time I sat down with Dra. Petrovic, there was only to be seen a slightly pink area less than the size of a dime.

My doctor looked puzzled as I explained the foregoing and, of course, told her about my psychic healer working on the scar’s removal.

“A psychic healer,’ she murmured. “What is a psychic healer, she asked.

Knowing the doctor is Russian, who is originally from Novosibirsk in Siberia, I explained that a psychic healer is a shaman.

“Ah,” Dra. Petrovic smiled. “I see.”

The good news is that I have never since been called ‘Scarface’. NOTE: SEE RELATED STORY TO LEARN MORE ABOUT Ms. EVERETT:
