OVERDUE ALTERNATIVE TO THE WEST’S DECADENT EUROVISION SONG CONTEST ~ VIDEO

QUOTE: ‘I guarantee that there will be no perversions or abuses of human nature, as we saw during the Olympic Games in Paris,’ the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured.

The Russian Federation’s Yaroslav Dronov, performing under the pseudonym SHAMAN, will represent Russia at the InterVision music contest, which will be held in September 2025 in Moscow.

The 33-year-old singer is the author of the hits ‘Vstanem’ and ‘I am Russian’. According to VTsIOM, SHAMAN has held the status of the most popular pop artist in Russia for two years now.

For the past two years, the 33-year-old singer has topped the popular rating of pop performers according to VTsIOM. He has released more than 30 music singles, the most popular of which are ‘Vstanem’ and ‘I am Russian’.

SHAMAN has been on the EU sanctions list since June 24, 2024. In July, the YouTube administration blocked the singer’s channel on the video hosting site: ‘My YouTube channel was blocked because I am Russian.’

Earlier, the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international cultural cooperation, Mikhail Shvydkoi, emphasized that the representative of Russia at the international contest ‘InterVision’ will most likely be one of the five most famous performers.

‘I won’t risk making any predictions here. You can see who is in the top five most popular performers today. I think one of them. But the final decision will be made by the forum organizers, among whom is Channel One,’ he said.

In early February, Vladimir Putin signed a decree on holding the international music competition InterVision in 2025 ‘to further develop international cultural and humanitarian cooperation.’ The event is scheduled for September in Moscow and the Moscow region.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov promised that festival participants would be given the opportunity ‘to show their best musical traditions without any censorship.’

‘I guarantee that there will be no perversions or abuses of human nature, as we saw during the Olympic Games in Paris,’ the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured.

As the special representative of the Russian president for international cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy emphasized, more than 20 countries have already confirmed their participation in the international music competition.

In addition to Russia, these are CIS countries such as Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, several Latin American countries, including Brazil and Cuba, and countries of Africa and the Middle East, including Saudi Arabia, as well as China. TELL US WHAT YOU THINK

  1. I personally consider the Russian National Anthem as probably the best in the world. Although I am from the Nation of Canada , my eyes well up when I listen to this anthem. One of the best rendition is from Bolshoi junior choir .

  2. Yes, Summitflyer, I also have a very high regard for Russia’s national anthem. In my opinion, it is one of the top five anthems if not the best. It is undoubtedly one of the most stirring ones which is a quality all good national anthems must have. I only wish my country’s anthem of God Save The Queen/King was as well. My other favourite national anthems are France’s, Germany’s, Kimigayo of Japan, South Korea’s, O Canada and the old Apartheid-era anthem called Die Stem Van Suid Afrika (The Call of South Africa).
