Vladimir Putin congratulated women on International Women’s Day, noting their importance and versatility.

The President emphasized that women play a key role in society, combining strength and tenderness, caring for the family and success in professional activities.

He also noted the importance of motherhood and assured that the state will continue to support families with children, especially large families.

‘Dear women! We know that much in life depends on you, on your talents, creative energy, love, and the utmost responsibility with which you take on any task.

I repeat, we always admire your beauty, tenderness, and charm. I wish you success, health, and well-being, and all the best to you and your loved ones. Be happy with those who are dear to you. Happy holiday to you, Happy International Women’s Day!’ Putin said.

The head of state noted that Russia traditionally has a special, very warm, sincere attitude towards this wonderful holiday.

‘Words of love, gratitude and respect are heard everywhere today. Men are rushing to tell their mothers, wives, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, girlfriends, colleagues how much they value them

How much they appreciate everything you do both at home for your family and friends and at work, sometimes performing very difficult professional tasks,’ the head of state said.

Addressing women, Putin emphasized that they manage to do everything: surround children with care and achieve amazing success in a variety of fields, combine strength and fragility

Their courage and tenderness, invariably conquer with their beauty and charm, and also inspire men to wonderful deeds, to strive to achieve more, to become better, to be true defenders of their family, home, and their homeland.

‘You have the power to do the most important thing – the miracle of the birth of a new life. And the sensitivity and generosity of a mother’s heart, the warmth of a mother’s love, transform and decorate the world around us. Being a mother is a great happiness and at the same time difficult, intense work.

We understand this perfectly well and will definitely continue to do everything so that mothers, families with children, especially large families, feel the support they need, see that their interests are always at the center of attention of the state,’ the president added.

The Russian leader noted the women who are ‘now where it is especially difficult.’ According to him, this refers to participants in a special military operation who are both in frontline hospitals and on the front lines.

‘I would also like to address the women whose loved ones – husbands, fathers, brothers, loved ones – are now defending the future of our country.

Your heartfelt concern, your constant care and your love, loyalty give strength to our soldiers, strengthen their spirit and unwavering faith that the truth – and therefore victory – is on our side,’ Putin concluded.

At the end of the conversation, which lasted just over two hours, the head of state said that Russian women have always been and are ‘gentle and beautiful, but at the same time courageous and strong, knowing their own worth,’ as well as the value of what they all serve – the Fatherland.
