MICHAEL WALSH CORRESPONDENT: The go-it-alone European Union now enters an extraordinary period of instability and change.

Meanwhile, the United States, an omnipotent world power without any equal since World War II, has finally woken up to reality. Donald Trump’s United States is now no more than an equal among equals in a multi-polar.

Russia, the world’s fourth strongest economy, rich in natural resources, is steadily forging mutually beneficial trade alliances with the world’s trading powers.

PUTIN AS HEAD OF STATE

On the 31^st of December 1999, Vladimir Putin became Russia’s head of state. Allowing for a swapping of positions from 2008-2012 with close aide Dmitry Medvedev, Putin has remained at Russia’s helm for 26 years.

Militarily, Russia is dominant and has outpaced and overtaken the United States. Who says so? The Facts say so.

The Western Alliance, led by Washington has done everything in its power to weaken Russia and stymie the growth of the Russian Federation. Russia had become a serious trade rival to the Western Alliance. All efforts to curb Russia’s growth had come to nothing.

As always throughout history the Western Alliance decided that war alone could dislodge Putin whilst Balkanizing Russia which fragments could be more easily managed by the West.

MAKE PUTIN PAY?

From 2014 – this was admitted – the Western Alliance emptied NATO’s arsenals into Ukraine’s to use Europe’s then-largest nation as a military battering ram to achieve the weakening if not the destruction of the Russian Federation.

Russia emerged victorious: the ruse failed leaving the United States to concede defeat and to accept the end of American world domination.

Fast forward to 2025: Donald Trump, a pragmatic businessman – and statesman – surrenders to the inevitable. Trump realizes that he has no choice but to end wars of conquest, colonization and exploitation.

From here on, Washington aims to get on with the world as a ‘first among equals.’ Dream on: I like confidence even when it is misplaced.

THE HUMBLING OF THE UNITED STATES

America’s clout in the emerging world is now no greater than that of several other nations, trading blocs and alliances. American influence today is an also-ran in terms of global influence.

Russia and China have pulled ahead and they intend to increase the distance between themselves and the waning United States.

American supremacy (1945-2025) was one of the shortest empires in history. Suck it up, Washington.

THE GO IT ALONE EUROPEAN UNION

Where does this leave the European Union, which is woefully unrepresentative of the 27 nations it claims to take responsibility for?

Neither of the European Union’s two presidents (name them if you can) have been elected, nor have their ruling elite, the 27 commissioners of Europe.

The European Parliament has no influence – its 670 MEPs have only an advisory role. In a word, the European Union (Brussels) is a verifiable dictatorship.

As a bloc – the European Union is impotent and as dependent on the goodwill of the United States as is Ukraine’s equally unelected president Volodymyr Zelensky.

GO WOKE GO BROKE

The European Union is bankrupt: the bloc’s bank – the European Central Bank is a branch of the Wall Street banking dynasty Goldman Sachs & Company.

Germany remains an American-occupied state. However, it can be said that the European Union itself is a colony of the United States. Putin knows it – the world knows it. Putin treats European heads of state with disdain.

Europe’s heads of state are selected and approved by Washington and Wall Street. NATO-dependent EU member states do not have the means to defend themselves or war with others. Fact: 90 per cent of the European Union’s weapons are American-made.

EUROPE A WASHINGTON COLONY

The bloc’s 27 member nations have no say in foreign policy, and the CIA openly declare that Europe’s media; its Press Barons, Editors and journalists are controlled by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

Over 100,000 American troops are based in Europe where 38 massive American bases have the foundations set deep in European soil.  

The EU bloc has little or no say in trade alliances. As a consequence, neither the United States, Russia, China, or even India wastes their time working with the European Union.

The European Union is no more independent than the Kremlin-controlled 15 republics of the former Soviet Bloc. I hope that clears that matter up.

EUROPEAN UNION IS DE FACTO A DICTATORSHIP

With two exceptions (Hungary and Slovakia) the remaining 25 EU nations and the United Kingdom are no more democratic than the Soviet Bloc’s 15 heads of state​ (1945-1990).

Their regimes are splintering coalitions and these nations’ inept euroclowns are no more capable of governance than town councillors.

Yet, such is these 25 EU states arrogance that their heads of state have simultaneously decided to continue their futile trade sanctions and military war on the Russian Federation but have decided to distance themselves from the United States.

Thus, the European Union by continuing its unilateral support for Ukraine in defiance of the United States, Russia and the emergent world order has isolated itself from the world’s great trading blocs.

WHERE LIES YOUR FUTURE

Where does the future lie for you if you are one of the United Kingdom’s 68 million excluded citizens? Where does the future lie for you if you are one of the 450 million disenfranchised European Union’s luckless citizens?

In theory, facing an Orwellian bleak future of war, isolation and impoverishment.

Yes, here is my prediction: The European Union’s faux-democracies – possibly a people-led regime change in the United Kingdom – will be swept aside and driven from power by the ballot boxes.

DRAWN INTO THE ORBIT OF RUSSIAN INFLUENCE

By 2035 – in ten years – Ukraine and the European Union’s 27 nations – likely the United Kingdom too – will have voluntarily opted for a future in which they will be contentedly settled in the Russian sphere of influence.

The 27 nations of the European Union and the United Kingdom will transfer from American/Wall Street hegemony to Russian influence.

How can I be confident of such an outcome? 1) it is already happening. Germany from February 23 will elect a Russian-friendly government. Hungary and Slovakia, Romania and Serbia Austria too are already aligning themselves with Russia. Others like Italy and Spain – Portugal too are watching with interest and are likely to opt for survival by aligning their nations with Russia’s interests. MICHAEL WALSH POLITICAL ANALYST.
