Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stated that the refusal of the Norwegian ship Oslo Carrier 3 to take on board a sinking Russian vessel’s drowning Russian sailors cannot be forgiven. He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
‘The Norwegian-flagged Oslo Carrier 3 refused to take on board Russian sailors from the Ursa Major who were drowning in the Mediterranean Sea. Do you need any more explanations? This cannot be forgiven!’ the politician and former Russian president said.
According to Medvedev, when the hybrid war ends, which it will soon end, Moscow should forgive weak countries and punish Europe by all available means.
The blunter-spoked former Russian President added he also believes that it is necessary to help any destructive processes in Europe.

Earlier it was reported that the Oslo Carrier 3 left the crew of the Ursa Major in trouble when the Russian ship sank in the open sea.

RIA Novosti writes about this, citing the press service of the Oboronlogistics group of companies. They clarified that a boat had been sent to the Norwegian vessel.
‘When the lifeboat approached the ship, the Norwegian vessel refused to accept the Ursa Major crew members, citing some kind of ban,’ Oboronlogistics representatives said.
Earlier, after three as yet unexplained explosions on the starboard side of the Russian vessel Ursa Major in the Mediterranean Sea, a hole in the ship’s side was discovered.
“A general ship alarm was declared on the vessel. During the external emergency inspection of the vessel, a hole with a diameter of 50×50 centimeters was discovered above the water line, the edges of the hole were torn and directed inward. The vessel’s deck was strewn with fragments,” the company said.

Soon afterwards, the Russian cargo ship Ursa Major capsized in international waters between the Spanish autonomous community of Murcia and Algeria.

‘If this had been the main power plant, the ship would not have sunk so quickly,’ he noted. At the same time, Kolesnik added that final conclusions about the causes of the incident can only be made after inspecting the dry cargo ship.

The Sinking Crew of Ursa Major Was Saved by the Spanish Vessel Salvamar Drago. December 27, 2024, 08:27. As the company’s press service told RIA Novosti, some time after the explosion, two Spanish rescue ships arrived at the scene.
‘One of them, the Salvamar Drago, approached the lifeboat, took the crew members on board and delivered them to the port of Cartagena (Spain), towing a lifeboat,’ the statement said.
It is specified that those evacuated from the disaster site were sent to a local hotel upon arrival on land. Earlier it became known that the Oslo Carrier 3, sailing under the flag of Norway, refused to help the crew of the Ursa Major when the Russian ship was wrecked in the open sea. The Norwegians cited ‘some kind of ban.’

It is a rule of the sea (or inland water, where I sail) that any vessel must assist those in emergency distress. During wars, naval vessels often pick up survivors after sinking their ship. If this story is true, then shame on the Norwegians. Bans, sanctions or whatever, are no excuse for abandoning sailors from drowning.

If these sailors had died, it would be murder. Not assisting drowning men in need when it is in your power to do so is callous and unforgivable. Three cheers for the Spaniards who did the good deed.
