

An Overwhelming Majority: A Poll Shows How Many Russians Trust Putin and Approve of His Work. According to an All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center poll, Russians trust President Vladimir Putin 78.7%.
At the same time, 75.7% of respondents said the work of the head of state was good. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is trusted by 61.1% of Russians, and 52.6% of survey participants evaluate his work positively. The work of the Russian government was approved by 50.1% of citizens.
Almost 80% of Russians trust the country’s president, Vladimir Putin. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center.
According to the survey, 78.7% of respondents expressed confidence in the head of state, while 16.9% expressed distrust.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is trusted by 61.1%, the leader of A Just Russia Sergei Mironov by 30.3%, the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Gennady Zyuganov by 29.4%, the head of the LDPR Leonid Slutsky by 21.0%, and the leader of New People Alexei Nechayev by 9.1%.

The approval rating for the president’s performance from December 2 to 8 was 75.7%.
Meanwhile, support for the leading party, Vladimir Putin’s United Russia, increased by 0.3 percentage points over the week to 35.5%. The study involved 1,600 adult Russians, whose opinions were ascertained through a telephone survey.
Similar figures are provided by the Public Opinion Foundation. According to a survey conducted on December 6-8, the level of trust in Putin by Russians decreased by 2 percentage points but still remains at a consistently high level of 80%. At the same time, 81% of respondents positively assessed his work, which is 1 percentage point less than the week before.

51% of respondents rated the government’s work positively, and 27% responded that the cabinet is working rather poorly. 56% of citizens rated the work of Prime Minister Mishustin positively, and 12% expressed the opposite opinion.
Earlier, in July, the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov stated that Putin’s support among citizens was high. According to him, the head of state’s rating remains consistently high – and this is primarily due to the daily hard work that the Russian leader does.
First of all, this is connected with the work that the president does every day – daily, difficult, responsible work,’ the Kremlin representative noted.
At the same time, the president’s press secretary refused to explain the contrast between Vladimir Putin’s high support and the low ratings of Western politicians.

Earlier that month, the Kremlin said that the head of state’s high ratings do not affect his activities in any way; he works without regard for high indicators.
‘Yes, you understand absolutely correctly. In this regard, nothing has changed,’ Peskov confirmed, answering a question from journalists.
In March of this year, Vladimir Putin was re-elected as President of the Russian Federation for the fifth time. The elections in Russia took place from March 15 to 17. After 100% of the protocols were processed, Putin received 87.28% of the votes. According to official data from the Central Election Commission, more than 76 million voters voted for him.
