Ethnic traditions

The Slavic Code of Honour

1. Remember always and everywhere: you are a descendant of a people with a centuries-old great and glorious history, and therefore you have no right to an undignified act.

2. Study the customs, traditions and culture of your people and the ethnic spirit will awaken in you.

3. Study the true not distorted history of your people and your homeland. This knowledge will strengthen your spirit, elevate your soul, and give you strength in the difficult moments of life.

4. Constantly work on your physical development. Build and strengthen your body to be worthy of your great ancestors.

5. Preserve the memory of all the ancestors of your kind as far as you can learn about them. Respect and honour your elders, and most of all, your parents who gave you life.

6. As the highest commandment, learn the truth – the greatness of a Slavic man was never measured by material goods, but only by a measure of courage and labour devoted to the Fatherland.

7. Don’t waste time. Fill your life with joy and good deeds. All the good and bad you do in life will come back to you multiplied.

8. When having a conversation, listen more, talk less and never boast. Among people, many are smarter, more experienced and stronger than you.

9. Avoid strife and scandals. In a quarrel with a fool, you will become dumber, and to a wise interlocutor, it is better to just listen.

10. Be moderate in your eating and drinking. Whoever does not know this measure loses his human form.

11. Help your neighbour in his trouble, for when trouble comes to you, your loved ones will help you.

12. Stand proud and honest. Neither hunger, nor cold, nor fear of death should break your spirit if you are a true son of the Slavic people.

13. Live in harmony with nature. Preserve and multiply the beauty of the Motherland for your descendants.

14. Remember that every Slav must have a clear mind, a keen mind, a loving and brave heart, a clear conscience, strong hands and a strong will.

16. Do not disregard anybody’s advice – listen. That’s right, whether you follow him or not, it’s up to you. Knowing how to take good advice from others is no less an art than giving good advice to yourself.

17. If you can’t say anything good about someone, then refrain from saying bad things, if you know.

18. Do everything with joy and until you learn to do so, consider what you do not know how to do.

More than death, be afraid to break this code of honour. Don’t put yourself in humiliation and shame. PLEASE SHARE OUR ETHIC EDUCATIONAL TEACHINGS
