FREE MEDIA: Alexander the Great, born in 356 BCE in Pella, the capital of Macedonia, was one of history’s most renowned military leaders.

Tutored by Aristotle and trained in the art of warfare by his father, King Philip II, Alexander became king at the age of 20 after Philip’s assassination.

His ambition was to create a vast empire, and within just over a decade, he achieved remarkable military success.

Alexander led his army on an unprecedented campaign, conquering the Persian Empire, Egypt, and parts of India, creating one of the largest empires in history.

His tactics, charisma, and leadership ensured his soldiers’ loyalty, even in the harshest conditions. He founded several cities, most famously Alexandria in Egypt, and spread Greek culture throughout his empire.

Despite his vast accomplishments, Alexander died young at the age of 32 in 323 BCE, in Babylon, under mysterious circumstances, possibly from fever or poisoning.
