Doctor of Medical Sciences named a vegetable that helps renew the body:  Eating all types of cabbage promotes detoxification and renewal of the body, Doctor of Medical Sciences, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva said in an interview with Sputnik radio.

Cabbage is rich in sulfur, which helps maintain a certain level of the antioxidant glutathione in cells, which is necessary for effectively cleansing the body of toxins, the doctor explained.

‘All types of cabbage should be included in your diet because this vegetable is a source of sulfur, which in turn will maintain glutathione levels in the body. This substance is involved in the process of detoxification and renewal of the body,’ said Koroleva.

According to her, cabbage dishes have a beneficial effect on the liver and metabolic processes. ‘If cabbage is present in the diet, then not only will the liver function well, but also the release of the body from metabolites that have served their function will occur promptly,’ Koroleva clarified.
