Charity wrapped in dignity

A lady is asking:

How much do you sell your eggs?

The old salesman answers:

0.50 cent per egg, lady

The Lady Says:

‘I take 6 eggs for 2.50 euros or I leave.’

The old salesman answers her: ‘Buy at the price you want, ma’am. This is a good start for me because I haven’t sold any eggs today and I need them to live.’

She bought the eggs at a bargain price and left feeling like she had won. She got into her elegant car and went to a fancy restaurant with her friend.

She and her friend ordered everything they wanted. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. So, they paid the bill of 400 euros, the ladies gave 500 euros and told the owner of the fancy restaurant to have the rest as tips.

This story may seem perfectly normal to the manager of a luxury restaurant, but it’s very unfair to the egg seller. the question is: Why do we always have to show that we have power when we buy from the needy? And why are we generous to those who do not need our generosity?

I once read somewhere: ‘My father used to buy goods from the poor at high prices, even though he didn’t need those things. He sometimes paid them more.

I once asked him: ‘Why are you doing this, dad?’ ‘

My Father answered: ‘This is charity wrapped in dignity, my son’

‘I know that most of you won’t share this story but if you’re one of the people who still reads then this message about an attempt to humanize will take an additional step in the right direction. We always try to be grateful for life.WE WELCOME READERS’ COMMENTS ON OUR STORIES
