When I became a wife, I spent at least a day making sure that everything was clean, in case ‘someone came to me. But then after my grandmother’s words, I noticed that all those for whom I tried so hard to be an exemplary housewife were very busy.

They walk, relax, have fun and enjoy life without explaining anything to anyone. And I wonder if someone suddenly appears? Suddenly I realized that I am not obliged to explain my home situation to anyone either. People are not interested in what I do at home all day.

Life is short, enjoy it! Dust off only when necessary. More important, have time to paint a picture or compose a poem, pet a cat or play with your dog, go for a pleasant walk or visit a friend, cook something exquisite and delicious, and water your favorite plants.

Give yourself free time to sunbathe on the beach or climb the mountains, play with your children, listen to music, read books, enjoy life. Homework is like Groundhog Day, every day it’s the same.

Remember that while you are young, there are many things you can easily do now that won’t be so easy to do in adulthood. And when you leave, and we will all leave one day and, in the end, we will also become dust.

No one will remember how much you used to scratch and how often you ran around the house with a rag. But they will remember your smile, the brightness of your eyes, the gift of selfless friendship, the joy and what you taught invisibly with the wisdom of your life. ~ Maria Wozniak.
