MICHAEL WALSH: Europe is one of Earth’s seven continents, known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and significant influence on the rest of the world. It is found entirely in the Northern Hemisphere and mostly in the Eastern Hemisphere.
FOR MATURE READERS WHO CAN TAKE THE TRUTH
Geographically, Europe is bordered by the Arctic Ocean to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west, the Mediterranean Sea to the south, and Asia to the east.
Despite its relatively small size, Europe is home to approximately 10% of the world’s population, making it the second smallest continent in terms of area, but the third most populous continent after Asia and Africa.
Europe is divided into about 50 sovereign states, the largest and most populous being Russia, which extends into Asia. Other prominent countries include Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain.
Every country has its own unique culture, language and history. Europe is one of the most developed economies in the world and is home to many influential international organizations such as the European Union, NATO and the Council of Europe.

The continent has a temperate seasonal climate, and its geographical location is very diverse, from the mountain ranges of the Alps to the vast plains of Eastern Europe, the sun-drenched sub-tropical awesome beaches and landscapes beaches of the Mediterranean Sea and the harsh fjords of Scandinavia.
Historically, Europe has seen the rise and fall of ancient Greece and Rome witnessed the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment and experienced two devastating world wars in the 20th century. It is rich in cultural and architectural treasures, including many world heritage sites.
Like no other, Europeans have settled all over the world. Europeans brought prosperity, improved healthcare and bring an enviable quality of life wherever they settled.
There is not a race or ethnic group, or religion that doesn’t benefit directly or indirectly from the Europeans’ ingenuity, innovation and industry.

As you go through each day you will benefit from products and services in every sphere of human activity that originated in a European mind – inspired by their ingenuity.
Of course, there is much to criticize Europeans for such as conquest, colonization and conflict. But what race or continent can claim to be free of these vices. He who casts the first stone.
Talking of this, many Europeans are mindful that they have likely killed and enslaved more of their fellow Europeans in much greater numbers and far more brutally than they have towards others. Europeans have been their own worst enemy.
Let it be remembered that 99 per cent of these vices are entirely due to just 1 per cent of people who tend to be pathological psychopaths who influence many ~ the easily duped and the trusting.
Most understand this phenomenon and realise that the 99 per cent feel no animosity towards other ethnicities and religions, We wish them well and are forever thankful for helping us through life and influencing our understanding. We wish all peoples and religions well.
The diverse languages, cultures and histories found across Europe contribute to the richness of literature, art, music and cuisine, making it a fascinating continent to explore.
