The CIA does not work on behalf of the American people or act in their interests. The CIA is a rogue element of the Deep State and an expression of the will of world oligarchy and their vision of a new world order.”

As far as I am aware no one has refuted the Russian leader’s take on the CIA. Besides, the language and style of the spoken word are as distinct as a fingerprint in identifying the commentator. If fits.

Edward Snowden, the American whistle-blower who fled to Russia at the first sound of a police klaxon concisely described the Deep State.

“The Deep State is simply the career government. It’s the people who are in the same offices, who outlive and outlast presidencies. They’ve seen Republicans, they’ve seen Democrats, they don’t really care, and they give that same briefing again and again, and they get good at it.’

Former U.S. President Theodore Roosevelt (1858 – 1919) was equally candid: “Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people.”

Prior to his timely escape, the computer intelligence consultant had diligently worked for the National Security Agency (NSA).

In 2013, Snowden had leaked highly classified information from the agency. His disclosures revealed numerous global surveillance programs, many run by the NSA and the Five Eyes intelligence alliance with the cooperation of telecommunication companies and European governments and prompted a discussion about national security and individual privacy.

The Five Eyes Intelligence Alliance is an intelligence monitory agency comprising the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Hands-on proactive rather than reactive, the clandestine activities of the agencies, including the CIA, act as a concealed undercurrent whose sole purpose is the subversion of nations or institutions considered to be acting contrary to the Deep State’s interests.

When was it ever otherwise? According to the Church Report (1975), “Covert United States involvement in Chile in the decade between 1963 and 1973 was extensive and continuous. The Central Intelligence Agency spent three million dollars in an effort to influence the outcome of the 1964 Chilean presidential elections. Eight million dollars was spent, covertly, in the three years between 1970 and the military coup in September 1973, with over three million dollars expended in fiscal year 1972 alone.”

Secretary of State Victoria Nuland owned up to Washington emptying its wallet to the tune of $7 billion for the purpose of undermining and bringing about regime change in Kyiv during the 2014 Maidan revolt which installed a Washington-friendly regime in Ukraine.

For these and many similar reasons, it is reasonable to assume that sooner or later we will learn that the CIA played a pivotal role not just in the sabotage of Nord Stream II but was instrumental in plots to assassinate leading figures in Ukraine and Russia.

The hapless operatives of Ukraine’s Security Service (Sluzhba Bezpeky Ukrayiny (SBU) acting on the CIA’s instructions don’t always get it right. There was initial bewilderment as to why 29-year-old Darya Dugina, a fervent but otherwise insignificant Russian nationalist was cold-bloodedly murdered as a consequence of a car bomb exploding in the car she was driving.

The parts of the bomb had earlier been smuggled from Ukraine into Russia in a cat carrier. Darya was the daughter of Alexander Dugin. The influential philosopher was admired by Putin and both parties met. Dugin was the intended target whose car Darya was driving after their visit to an event.

The CIA and MI5-trained SBU has also twice bombed the bridge connecting mainland Russia to Russian Crimea, piloted drones into the roof of the Kremlin and blown holes in the hulls of Russian naval vessels in the Black Sea.

The SBU headquarters is situated at 32-35 Volodymyrska Street in the centre of Kyiv. Sources claim the top two floors of the four-story edifice are occupied by the CIA. It was not by chance when early in 2022 a Russian precision missile caused a massive crater in the park fronting the SBU headquarters. A warning shot no doubt.

When in 2014 Russia recovered territory ceded to Ukraine during the Bolshevik seizure of Imperial Russia, Ukraine’s domestic security service – formerly the Soviet KGB and now SBU started working closely with the CIA to develop its intelligence operations. The CIA apparently spent millions on helping Ukrainians develop their intelligence and spy programs, and maintains a substantial presence in Kyiv, officials told the outlet.

It goes without saying that the CIA, which openly recruits, compromises and finances Russian dissidents, has its agents and sleepers deeply embedded in Russian centres of influence. This won’t be news to Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB).

“The US has used the ongoing Ukrainian crisis to drive a wedge between Russia and the EU while alleviating its own economic troubles at their expense,” Nikolay Patrushev, the head of Russia’s National Security Council, has said.

Patrushev unambiguously assigned blame for the destruction of the Nord Stream pipelines last fall to Washington, pointing out that the incident has greatly benefited America’s corporate interests.

Washington has demonstrated a similar pattern in other regions as well, the security chief suggested. He linked US intrigues to the latest escalation between Israel and Hamas as an example of such behavior. “Moreover, the US itself has largely provoked the new crisis in the region,” the official asserted.

“They act in exactly the same way in Ukraine, where they provoked a coup d’etat, condoned the growth of neo-Nazi ideology, turned Ukraine into a testbed for military-biological experiments, turned a blind eye to the killings of civilians in Donbas, and prepared for military action against our country,” Patrushev told the council.
