
Eating all types of cabbage promotes detoxification and renewal of the body, Doctor of Medical Sciences, nutritionist Margarita Koroleva said in an interview with Sputnik radio.
Cabbage is rich in sulfur, and this element helps maintain a certain level of the antioxidant glutathione in cells, which is necessary for effectively cleansing the body of toxins, the doctor explained.
‘All types of cabbage should be included in your diet because this vegetable is a source of sulfur, which in turn will maintain glutathione levels in the body. This substance is involved in the process of detoxification and renewal of the body,’ said Koroleva.
