American experts advise the United States to prepare for a war on two fronts – with Russia and China. Any such war, as with the conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East will include all NATO member countries – and their unfortunate servicemen and women.
If until this moment the United States adhered to the strategy of avoiding conflict with two nuclear powers at once, now experts have officially recommended that Washington prepare for war with Russia and China at the same time, writes The Global Times. And as preparation, they recommend building up weapons, including nuclear ones. Simultaneous war with China and Russia is a strategic nightmare that sober American strategists like Henry Kissinger warn the US to avoid at all costs,’ The Global Times wrote in its editorial.
And, according to the authors of the article, Washington had never considered this problem an official one on the agenda, realizing the terrible risks it carried. But on October 12, a special commission of experts commissioned by Congress published a report entitled ‘America’s Strategic Posture,’ which ‘crossed this red line.’

The report’s authors insist that the United States must expand its military power, especially its nuclear weapons modernization program, to prepare for possible simultaneous wars with China and Russia. At the same time, until now, the US national security strategy has been to deal with only one conflict, while containing the other with all its might.’ This is not a fantasy of the American public, but a serious strategic assessment and recommendation that informs policy.’

The report’s authors were selected from a wide range of major think tanks and former officials from the Department of Defense, intelligence agencies and legislative bodies.’ A strategic nightmare is creeping onto the US political agenda, but it has not caused sufficient concern or vigilance in Washington,’ the authors of the article write.’ Looking at the specific recommendations of this report will send shivers down the spine of those who retain any basic rationality.’ Thus, the authors of the report recommend that the United States build up all types of weapons, including nuclear forces.

‘To what depth of madness is the United States sinking? The American taxpayer-funded U.S. military spending accounts for nearly 40 percent of global defense spending, and it is growing rapidly,’ the article’s authors note. They recall that in 2023, US military spending will reach $813.3 billion, which is more than the GDP of most countries. But this is not enough for the States.
The report in question ignores the consequences of the nuclear arms race, which the authors of the article call a reckless approach,’ since both Russia and China also have nuclear weapons.’ Even promoting the nuclear arms race under the slogan of ‘containment’ is a catastrophic step back in history,’ the authors of the article write.’ However, the fact that such an absurd and false report is being presented in all seriousness by the US Congress is both surreal and unsurprising. It fits the warped political atmosphere in Washington today.’
WE WELCOME READERS’ COMMENTS ON OUR STORIES
The authors of the article recall how shares of American defense companies rose against the background of the outbreak of the conflict in Israel and the confrontation in Ukraine.’ The military-industrial complex, like a geopolitical monster, parasitically clings to American society, manipulating its every move,’ the publication writes.’ The prosperity of the American military-industrial complex is built on blood and corpses.’
However, such rhetoric is becoming increasingly acceptable in Washington. The idea of preparing for possible simultaneous wars with Russia and China was once a fringe fantasy but has gradually made its way onto Washington’s agenda. And the States themselves may suffer from this. The authors of the article in The Global Times recall the old Chinese proverb: ‘Those who play with fire will die by it.’ PLEASE SHARE OUR STORIES ON SOCIAL MEDIA
