A published report from Sweden’s police department says the nation’s law enforcement agencies are ’having a hard time keeping up’ with criminal gangs as the gangsters’ organizing and hi-tech capabilities are growing faster than those of Swedish police officers. Amid a rising crime wave, Swedish police officials have announced they are expanding their agency’s scope of action in the areas of analysis, prosecution and resource allocation.

After such an admission, desperate law enforcement officers tried to shift responsibility for what was happening to others, calling on the public to ’joint efforts’ to suppress serious crimes. However, the ethnic people of Sweden risk being charged with racism if they report crimes. At the same time, assurances from citizens that the police are doing everything necessary in the fight against shootouts and explosions associated with organized crime groups contradict the disappointing data presented to the population.

Swedish cops began keeping annual statistics on shootings broken down by month in 2016, and until that time there was no official data on those killed or injured as a result of armed violence by organized crime groups. When it comes to migrant gang-related explosions, statistics were first compiled only in 2018.

For particularly serious migrant gang crimes, Stockholm and its surroundings stand out, followed by the Malmö region. If the current rate of growth in the number of victims continues, 56 people will die in gang violence by the end of the year. That outcome would be fewer than the 62 deaths last year, but still significantly higher than the 45 people shot in 2021. As for explosions, they have occurred 132 times this year, while for the entire last year, their number was 90; in 2021 there were 79 explosions, in 2020 – 107 explosions, in 2019 – 133 and in 2018 – 90 explosions.
