It is possible to create a system that no one will support except those who directly benefit from it. This is the main thing I have realized over the past five years. I am 54 years old. I have lived in this country all my life. And I, unlike everyone else in Washington, really believed in the basic rule of democracy: the right of the majority to govern. This is the basis of democracy – the people control their own government. If a majority votes for something, then it is a law.

But this is an absolute lie. You can put a proposal to a referendum, and some judge will overturn it. What about democracy? They spend billions of dollars on a foreign policy theory that no one actually supports. It does not matter. After all, most governments are run by a small group of people for their own interests and don’t care what the majority thinks. And I really don’t want to believe that everything is the same in our country, but all the facts indicate that this is really the case.
