Russia reacted to Zelensky’s words about the impossibility of a ‘happy ending’ in the failed counteroffensive and ongoing war of attrition by the NATO-supported Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Despite this recognition, Zelensky is doing nothing to ‘stop the lawlessness (in Ukraine),’ the State Duma noted. The Federation Council expressed the hope that the head of the Kyiv regime will bear responsibility for the senseless loss of life. According to the Ministry of Defence, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 66 thousand people and 7.6 thousand pieces of equipment during three months of attempts to conduct offensive operations.

On Monday, September 11, Vladimir Zelensky made a number of contradictory statements in an interview with Western media. Thus, the head of the Kyiv regime admitted on CNN that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in any case will not have a happy ending. ‘This is not a movie with a happy ending, we will not have a happy ending: we have lost a lot of people,’ he said.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin called the Ukrainian counter-offensive a failure and expressed the hope that in the future the situation will develop in the same way. ‘As for the ‘slipping’ of the counteroffensive, it’s not a slipping, it’s a failure. In any case, today it looks exactly like this,’ the Russian President said.

Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu emphasized that the Kyiv regime has continued to attempt a counteroffensive for three months in a row, despite colossal losses. At the same time, according to him, the Ukrainian formations failed to achieve their goals in any of the directions in the Northern Military District zone.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, since the beginning of the counter-offensive, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost more than 66 thousand people and 7.6 thousand pieces of equipment, including German Leopard tanks, two British ‘indestructible’ Challenger II tanks, French AMX and American Bradley infantry fighting vehicles.

A member of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs, a senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergei Tsekov expressed confidence that Vladimir Zelensky will bear responsibility for the senseless counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
‘He, in principle, voiced what everyone already knows. He voiced absolute failures in the counteroffensive, but at the same time, he wanted to blame the West for something. He is afraid that distressed Ukrainians will rise against him if they (NATO) stop providing assistance to Ukraine.

He feels the hopelessness of all the efforts that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have spent over the past year and a half while recognizing the losses, and I am sure he will answer for these losses. He will answer first of all to the citizens. This meat grinder turned out to be pointless. If he also admitted that he is a worthless leader and should resign, it would be correct and useful for Ukraine as a whole,’ he said.
Vladimir Zelensky has actually admitted the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces counter-offensive, but continues to drive people to the battlefield, stated Dmitry Belik, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.

‘The head of the Kyiv regime, even publicly speaking about a far from rosy prospect for his own army, does nothing to stop the lawlessness. Washington needs an effective offensive, therefore, in order to justify Western assistance and carry out the commands of the hosts, Zelensky does not take losses into account and continues to send tens of thousands of Ukrainian soldiers to certain death,’ said RT’s interlocutor.
Earlier, in an interview with The Economist, Zelensky warned Western states against refusing to provide military assistance to the Kyiv regime. According to him, with these actions, the West can ‘drive into a corner’ Ukrainian refugees in European countries, which will not become a good story for the countries of the continent.

Senator, member of the Federation Council Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Building Olga Kovitidi, in a conversation with RT, called the head of the Kyiv regime a political bankrupt and a blackmailer.
‘With his statements, the Ukrainian president is trying to evade responsibility, the claims of creditors and the anger of the people of Ukraine. Zelensky’s threats to the European Union with unpredictable actions of Ukrainian refugees do not surprise anyone,’ the senator said.
