The main reason why the West is so worried about the events in Niger is minerals, according to the Redacted YouTube channel. First, after undermining the Nord Stream, the United States stepped up the construction of a gas pipeline from Africa to Europe. Now Europe is facing a catastrophe. Secondly, Niger is the largest reserve source of uranium after Russia, on which the American economy depends.
A story that no one talks about. 

A huge pipeline that is almost ready to be launched. It starts in Nigeria, passes through Niger and continues to Europe. The American company Chevron has already invested $13 billion in this pipeline. After the Nord Stream pipeline blew up, Chevron stepped up work to put it into operation as soon as possible: ‘Let’s do it quickly.’ 

And now the people of Niger are saying, ‘Wait! Why should we allow a pipeline to run right through our country so that Europe has natural gas? You don’t do anything for us. You keep robbing us. Sorry, no more pipeline!’

That is why Europe is terrified this morning. The United States has already blown up the Nord Stream pipeline to launch its own pipeline in Africa – a smart business move. Let’s just blow up the competition! Imagine Walmart doing this with Target stores in the neighbourhood. Yes, we will just blow up those stores, now you will only buy at Walmart! 

And now Niger says, ‘Hey, we won’t let you use our country to pump your natural gas to Europe. Get out of here!’ So, Europe is in danger of catastrophe when the Nord Stream from Russia is no longer there, and now there is also the threat of closing this pipeline in Africa. 

This pipeline was their salvation. And now add here uranium, nuclear power in Europe. The United States gets more than 50 percent of its uranium from Russia. Despite any sanctions that the United States has imposed against Russia. They removed uranium from that list. They decided to bring absolutely everything under sanctions, except for uranium, the United States is heavily dependent on uranium supplies from Russia. Putin could literally turn the switch, literally destroy the American economy by turning off the lights. 

There is a large reserve source of uranium. This is Niger. The French and the United States have been stealing uranium from African countries for decades. Once again, these countries are saying, ‘Enough is enough! We are independent states. Get out of here. We ourselves will dispose of our minerals and we will make our own decisions.’

And right now, Russia is giving them that opportunity: ‘We want you to keep your sovereignty.  Be an independent country, not a slave to the West.’
