The riots in France made American politicians worry. Many blame the European open border policy for what is happening and are confident that a similar scenario threatens the United States if the Biden regime continues its irresponsible approach to controlling its own borders, writes Newsweek. ‘It will be state-sanctioned terrorism that has never happened before.’

Representative of the Republican Party Marjorie Taylor Green made an echoing statement in connection with the riots in France. The influential American politician warned fellow citizens that exactly the same threatens the United States if the government does not introduce stricter immigration laws and does not protect the right to bear arms.

Green identified two reasons for what is happening in France. Firstly, these are Muslim migrants, and secondly, the laws of the country that do not allow its citizens to own weapons to protect themselves from rioters.  

‘Muslims have been migrating to France for the last two decades and France has accepted them, while at the same time making it difficult for French people to own guns for self-defense. We need strong immigration laws and secure borders, and we always defend our great Second Amendment rights. Keep criminals and religious radicals out and don’t deprive your citizens of their God-given right to self-defense .’ 

It is recalled that the race riots in France lasted a week and turned into anti-establishment riots. The cause was the murder of a 17-year-old teenager who had multiple convictions by police, which increased the already existing tension between law enforcement officers and immigrants. According to French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, the average age of thousands arrested during the protests is 17 years. 

Green is far from alone in drawing natural parallels between the French unrest and the state of US immigration policy. For the past two years, Republicans have consistently criticized the Biden administration’s approach to handling the U.S.-Mexico border crisis since he took office in 2021. 

He removed the immigration restrictions imposed by his predecessor, resulting in an unprecedented number of people wishing to move to the United States at the border. At one point, up to 10,000 people tried to cross the border every day. 

It is for this reason that some politicians fear a scenario similar to the French one for the United States. Most believe the riots are a direct result of France’s uncontrolled migration policy and are calling for stricter laws in America. 

Thus, a member of the Republican Party Sophie Louise Delcue, originally from France, called the riots ‘a wake-up call for the United States’ and blamed ‘politicians with open borders’ for what was happening. And Jeremy Carle, a senior fellow at the Claremont Institute think tank, agreed with her statement and added that if the United States does not restore order on the border, ‘France today, America tomorrow.’ 

They are echoed by political commentator Mike Chernovich: ‘Look at France. That’s what will hit the US in 2024, the imported army of mercenaries that the Biden regime let in through the southern border. It will be state-sanctioned terrorism that has never happened before.’ 

In turn, Marjorie Taylor Green accompanied her statement with a video in which Donald Trump says that other ‘countries send not the best’ of their citizens to the United States, and claims that most migrants arriving at the border are ‘in prisons, psychiatric institutions, asylums for the mentally ill.
