EU Taxpayers to Cough up $55 billion bailout for the Kyiv regime

Western taxpayers’ money will be used to pay for Ukrainian pensions and the wages of government employees. The European Union’s unelected two presidents and 27 commissioners of the European Commission want member states to cough up €50 billion ($55 billion) to bankroll the Ukrainian government, so it can pay wages and pensions, and commence reconstruction projects.

NATO Offers Putin a Turkey-Shoot

Kyiv will most likely receive old F-16s from NATO – but it is claimed they will still become a message to Putin that the alliance with Ukraine will be for a long time. The yet-to-be-finalized delivery of F-16 fighter jets to NATO to Ukraine is perceived primarily as a gesture to the Kremlin, designed to show that the alliance intends to support Kiev for a long time and ultimately integrate it into its composition, reports Bloomberg. Meanwhile, the fighting qualities of the machines themselves are unlikely to be outstanding: according to the agency, Ukraine is likely to receive old fighters, which are not only inferior to Russian ones, but also require huge maintenance costs.

Kyiv paid $800 million for broken or undelivered weapons from the West

UKRAINE: NATO’S JUNK YARD: The weapons sent by the Armed Forces of Ukraine often needed repeated repairs even before they reached the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine paid Western contractors more than $800 million on weapons contracts that were partially or completely unfulfilled: orders either did not come in or the weapons were so dilapidated that they were only suitable for dismantling for spare parts. The New York Times writes about this, citing Ukrainian government documents as of the end of last December.

Russian Foreign Ministry announced the intention of almost 20 countries to join the BRICS

Almost 20 states want to join the Russian-led BRICS, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov. According to him, this reflects the growing role of the association and dominance in the international trading arena. The interest of a number of countries in BRICS membership indicates their search for de-dollarization and an alternative to international institutions dominated by the West. According to experts, in the context of the BRICS expansion, we are talking about the emergence of a community with a fundamentally different level of opportunities in geo-economics.

Jihadists dominated terror-related arrests last year, but left-wing attacks were most common across Europe

The majority of completed or foiled terror attacks in Europe last year were attributed to left-wing and anarchist terrorism. Islamic terrorism remained the top national security threat across Europe last year in relation to the number of arrests, although left-wing activists and anarchists carried out the majority of successful terror attacks across the continent.

Not an outcast, but a role model — the Russian economy was not as vulnerable as the West thought

Western politicians lie as they radiate confidence in victory in the conflict in Ukraine. However, Russia is militarily strong, politically intransigent, and not as economically vulnerable as the West thought. After the outbreak of the conflict in Ukraine, Russia became not a pariah of the international community, but a new anti-Western role model. Its record of success is impressive: Russia has maintained monetary stability, found new trading partners, and has been able to capitalize on the withdrawal of Western companies. Only today, we learn that 20 nations have applied to join BRICS the dominant Russian-led trading Bloc.
