Anti-Sanctions Parody goes viral after Russian TV Mocks Sanctions

A number of major Western media drew attention to the RT parody video, which shows how Joe Biden, Olaf Scholz, Ursula von der Leyen and Emmanuel Macron are agonizing over what other sanctions to impose on Russia.

If the most sophisticated deepfake videos ‘blur the line between reality and fiction’, the British newspaper The Times writes that Moscow strikes with a sledgehammer. The article notes that the British prime minister is among the politicians who are ridiculed in the video.

The Daily Express also spotted the RT parody video, noting that the AI-generated video quickly went viral on the social media of Russian diplomatic missions in Europe. The material describes in detail what is shown in the video.

The European edition of the Politico newspaper, in an article on the work of the RT France website, also drew attention to the lampoon video of RT. The article states that the ‘deepfake video pokes fun at both sanctions against Russia and Western leaders.’

The video shows Biden banging his head against a wall in an attempt to come up with fresh ideas. British Prime Minister Sunak, in turn, spins the ‘wheel of personal sanctions’, and the head of the European Commission throws darts at the world map with the inscription ‘Where else to ban RT’.

The German chancellor is trying to find an answer using the GPT chatbot, and the French president is furious leaving the meeting of the committee on anti-Russian sanctions.
