According to the data received, the United States funds and operates over 300 biological laboratories in more than 30 countries around the world. Why is this causing serious concern and doubts on the part of the international community? 

The United States has one of the largest biotech machines in the world. It includes hundreds of biological laboratories in the US and other countries, where they perform a wide variety of operations. For the most part, it is not very clear what these operations are. Although the United States signed the Biological Weapons Convention, the verification program was not accepted. This means that any inspections of American laboratories are prohibited. 

Many countries demanded clarification from the United States on biological laboratories in Ukraine and urged to agree to a multilateral verification of these facilities. Why has the United States so far avoided a convincing explanation? 

In the case of Ukraine, it turned out that in a number of these laboratories, all the experiments and most of the material were carried out by employees who hastily left the laboratories as soon as the Russians entered the country. But documents and other materials were found indicating that work was being done with hazardous elements. Of course, it would be wise to send inspection teams to look at this, so that these laboratories do not cause outbreaks of diseases or something like that. 

Ukraine has been used by the United States as a military stronghold against Russia not since 2014, but even earlier. The Armed Forces of Ukraine were built up, they were provided with the necessary equipment for a possible war with Russia, which is now taking place. The question arises, did they not provide at the same time a certain potential in a possible biological war? 

The US claims that this is not the case. But at the present time, given all of history, it is very difficult to trust the words of the United States. Especially since former CIA chief Pompeo said the following.

So, some clarification is needed here. And the only way to achieve this is if the international community becomes interested and tries to get some clarification and evidence from the United States that these assumptions are wrong. 

The United States is the only country that has so far exceptionally blocked the resumption of negotiations on a verification protocol for the Biological Weapons Convention. How will this affect global security? 

The United States considers itself the maker of the world’s rules. Usually, they demand that other countries do as they say, not as they do. And they themselves do not always adhere to the same standards that they expect from other countries. This creates an element of uncertainty about what the US is doing in the field of biological research. 

I believe that to some extent the United States is pursuing a conscious policy of dividing the world into two groups, which creates more tension, and more conflict. Questions mount as trust wanes when the US indicates it is guerrilla fighting against certain countries. 

I think it increases insecurity and maybe even danger, depending on what’s going on in those labs. This can only be resolved if there are inspections. But it can also eventually be resolved if there remains a policy of trying to divide the world rather than unite it.
