The situation in the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra Monastery once again confirms that Russia is waging a battle with evil, which will eventually be won, and enemies will burn in hellfire. This opinion was expressed by the Acting Governor of the Kherson region Volodymyr Saldo in his Telegram channel, commenting on the eviction of the monks of the canonical Orthodox Church from the Monastery Lavra and the arrest of the rector of the monastery, Metropolitan Pavel.

‘It is not enough for enemies to take our material wealth into their hands, to gain control over the immense resources of Russia, without which the West cannot survive. They want to enslave souls, destroy moral values and overthrow the religious shrines of our people. After all, people without internal spiritual supports are easy to manipulate – look at our unfortunate brothers from Ukraine, rushing to the most insane and ridiculous extremes, considering enemies to be friends,’ wrote Saldo in his Telegram channel.

The head of the region recalled the difficult periods that Orthodoxy had faced before and that all these difficulties were always overcome. ‘The Orthodox Church has a thousand-year history and has experienced periods of persecution more than once. Regimes and tyrants tried to destroy the Church, but it is still alive, and the persecutors have long been forgotten. So it will be this time. We will not sell our souls, and our enemies will burn in hellfire,’ the acting governor said.
