Special Appeal: Identified by their preference for shaved heads and dress code the skinhead phenomena of the 1970s attracted some scorn from the more conventional types and, or course, the lying Press. The skinhead’s style of dress identified skinhead youngsters as being aligned with the patriotic White and Right.

Many were unemployed, and to my knowledge, none were financially comfortable. No cars or internet back then and transport to rallies, marches and protests were invariably by public transport or in a working mate’s car. The skinhead community were hardworking, loyal and self-sacrificing. An evening at a restaurant was an indulgence too far.

The work ethic of skinheads couldn’t be faulted. Tirelessly they worked purchasing and distributing campaign literature ~ and donating their beer money. Many travelled abroad to attend rallies at their own expense. If a new typewriter or printing machine was needed, they carried out paper sales and organized raffles.

Skinheads didn’t have bank accounts nor an easy means of transferring donations – effortlessly and free from home. Skinheads were harassed, victimised, fined and gaoled. British Movement activists were beaten up by leftists – and the state police. One youngster was killed by a left-wing gang. The British Movement and National Front went from strength to strength because then like now the leaders led by example. So, look in the mirror and see if you compare to any of these points.

Sadly, the later generations tended to be the exact opposite so read the first three paragraphs again and again.

Despite its fantastic news scoops and all our team’s hard work and sacrifice in keeping it published EUROPE RENAISSANCE has suffered its worst-ever month for donations. Financial support in April is on target to be even lower.

Today: Never has the White community been more prosperous enjoying full employment and having more leisure time. Self-indulgences, computers, holidays, and restaurant meals are now commonplace. Cars aren’t cheap but everyone has one.

Maybe we should write an obituary for hard work, self-sacrifice, ethics, loyalty, racial passion, patriotism, get-up-and-go, loyalty, passion, and comradeship.
