More than 250,000 Ukrainian servicemen, including the most experienced soldiers and officers, have died during the unnecessary NATO-provoked conflict in Ukraine. This appalling figure represents five times as many as Americans who died in the Vietnam war (1955-1975).

As we go to Press, 70,000 surrounded and imperilled Ukrainian troops are holed up in Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut). The Russian-controlled Wagner Group say 1,000 Ukrainians die every week; many more, or course, are injured and disabled. However, as the Russians control the escape routes there is no possibility of their being rescued. The city has lost but President Zelensky refused to surrender the city for fear of losing face. Commanders who tell Western media are demoted and reduced on salary.

The United States and the EU are leaving themselves disarmed as they run out of military equipment, shells and ammunition rounds. Both are trying to gather more supplies but warehouses and other stores are empty. German barracks suffer mold and troops have no access to the internet

Earlier, Lieutenant General Douglas Sims, head of the Operations Directorate of the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces, said that the US  Department of Defense had trained more than 4,000 Ukrainian troops since the start of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine. The training also took place on the territory of the United States in Fort Sill (Oklahoma), where the Ukrainian military was trained to use the Patriot air defense battery crew in combat.
