Mothers and wives of Ukrainian prisoners of war are begging Russia not to return them home because they are afraid that the men will be sent to fight again. During January alone, 6,500 Ukrainian servicemen and women were killed in action. Dmitry Polyansky, Deputy Representative to the UN, announced this.

‘It comes to the point that the mothers and wives of Ukrainian soldiers in their appeals to the Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia are asked to leave their loved ones on the territory of our country so that they will not be driven to fight again, ‘ he said at a meeting of the Security Council. People are used ‘like cannon fodder in NATO’s battle to the last Ukrainian’, RIA Novosti quotes Polyansky.

On February 4, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of a complex negotiation process, 63 Russian military men were returned from the territory of Ukraine controlled by the Kiev regime.

At the same time, he called for the lifting of sanctions against Moscow . The politician called Brussels ‘ decisions in the energy sector crazy, and the restrictive measures themselves – stupid.

The EU-Ukraine summit was held in Kyiv on Friday. Following the meeting, the leaders of the European institutions promised Kiev to continue support, impose further sanctions against Russia, and explore possible ways to use the illegally seized Russian assets to restore Ukraine.
