As young men do the fighting the propagandists do the writing

In 1917 Senator Hiram Johnson reminded the Senate that the first casualty when war comes is truth. War, as a U.S. general pointed out is ‘nothing personal, it is just business.’

The military arms complex rubs its hands at the prospect of turning millions into billions for those, politicians included, who lust for wars because they invest and profit from wars.

Then there are the smaller guys who as propagandists nevertheless make a killing. These pen-pushing inky-fingered scribes of hate are made up of the palace publishers, their selected authors and biographers, and the fake journalists. As young men do the fighting the propagandists do the writing…. and the lucre keeps rolling in long after the stink of cordite and burnt flesh evaporates.

World War II was no exception. Yet this appalling catastrophe that could so easily have been avoided cost the lives of over 50 million mostly Europeans.

The Second World War changed dynasties, deleted countries and moved frontiers. Trying to keep up with the Makers of Mayhem dancing on the pyres of burning bodies were their propagandists who censored the news, spun the lies and prostituted themselves by laundering the images of the most psychotic killers in world history. The insane ~ in fact diabolical makers of war and harvesters of human misery were undoubtedly known as the allies.

Then and now there was no remorse over the millions of falsehoods told to enable the USSR and the U.S. to divide the world as they saw fit and for a few short years (1965 Britain, 1990 USSR, the US 2022) to achieve debauched and vacuous short-lived hegemony. On May 8, 1945, Germany’s armed forces and soon afterwards the British Empire founded 350 years earlier signed their assets away.

As the fumes of cordite evaporated and the corpses of tens of millions vaporized there was no admission that, since Hitler’s 1933 election the 1933-1945 conflict had been propaganda-led and it still is.

Wars commence only when those who will do the fighting and families who make the sacrifices are psychologically conditioned (war psychosis) to do the suffering and the dying. A war without propaganda is a war without weapons.

The All Lies Invasion Volume I (Volume II soon) by historian Mike Walsh takes the reader on a fascinating odyssey of impudence, funeral humour, and in many cases expressions of regret by those who in their own words pimped for politicians.

As the illustrated pages are turned readers will shake their heads as they discover the inanities of propaganda and falsehoods in wartime. In hundreds of instances, many bizarre or amusing and others pathetic, The All Lies Invasion is a timely warning of political and media deception and public naiveté.
