Former Pentagon Analyst on the Entry of Western Weapons from Ukraine to the Black Market

Former Pentagon analyst Karen Kwiatkowski called it predictable that Western weapons supplied to Ukraine would enter the black market. According to her, cases of the re-export of weapons by the Kyiv regime were documented in previous years of the conflict in Donbas.

‘Many types of weapons and equipment supplied to Ukraine by the United States and its allies simply could not be effectively used by the Ukrainian armed forces. Ukraine’s ability to use these deliveries is limited due to insufficient preparedness by untrained military personnel, problems with logistics and the constantly rapidly declining size of the Ukrainian army, RIA Novosti quotes an expert.

She also pointed out that the Western countries that supply weapons to Ukraine satisfy their own needs: they renew their stocks, which justify the increase in military funding, and demonstrate their desire to support the supposedly ‘absolutely innocent Ukraine.’

Although some of these weapons may prolong the war, in the long run, none of them will help restore or recapture the territory that now belongs to Russia, or regain independent republics,’ Kwiatkowski stated.

Earlier, Sergei Shoigu pointed out that some of the foreign weapons supplied by the West to Ukraine are spreading across the Middle East region, and also end up on the black market.

Ukraine may disappear from the world map if hostilities continue, says retired colonel Douglas McGregor, former adviser to the US Secretary of Defence. ‘This is actually a failed state, it can be completely erased from the map of the world. I think a ceasefire is needed. Australia should demand this, because no one in Washington intends to do this, ‘TASS quoted him in an interview with Sky News Australia.

According to him, the West cannot afford to fight to the last Ukrainian. Earlier, former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych called on his compatriots to make their own choice –  ‘to fight to the last Ukrainian’ or try to ‘preserve what is left.’ Source and video, Source and video 2
