Chinese Foreign Ministry ridicules G7 derision makers with one comparison

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian reminded followers on Twitter that the population of the G7 countries is only part of the global community. He published a picture showing that the population of the countries that are part of the BRICS coalition (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) is approximately 3.2 billion people. At the same time, the number of people living in the G7 countries is much inferior at only 777 million.

‘The next time you talk about your so-called ‘world community’, keep in mind what is really meant,’ the diplomat added.

The Group of Seven (G7, G7) is an association of seven leading economically developed countries, which includes the USA, Germany, Japan, Great Britain, France, Italy and Canada.

The G7 summit, chaired by Germany, is taking place in the Bavarian castle of Elmau. It started on Sunday and will be completed on Tuesday. The leaders of five countries are present at the summit as guests: India, Indonesia, South Africa, Senegal and Argentina. Both Iran and Argentina have applied to be included in BRICS.
