Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko goes straight for NATO’s jugular: The West uses migrants against Belarus in case of conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

According to the President, the West understands that if it again unleashes the conflict in Donbass or somewhere on the border with the Russian Federation, Minsk will not be left on the side-lines.

MINSK, November 29. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko believes that the West uses migrants as a way to contain the Belarusian army in the event of a conflict between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.

‘They understand perfectly well: if only Ukraine tries to unleash a conflict with Russia, Belarus will not be left on the side-lines, so the Belarusian army must be contained, strained on the western borders,’ Lukashenko said at a meeting in the Ministry of Defence of the Republic on the topic of military security.

‘Probably, [in the West] they are worried that we have a smaller flow of migrants because they used these people (we already see this) to solve our internal problems and keep us in suspense,’ the BelTA news agency quoted the president as saying. 

Lukashenko is sure that in the near future his words will be confirmed by the actions of the West. He recalled that even earlier he had instructed the Minister of Défense and the Chairman of the State Border Committee not to succumb to provocations and not provoke conflicts and clashes in any way, while the Minister of Defence and the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces were instructed to prepare a response plan for possible aggression and illegal actions against Belarus.

‘They understand perfectly well: if they again unleash a war in Donbas or somewhere on the border with Russia, Belarus will not be left on the side-lines. And it’s clear on whose side Belarus will be,’ Lukashenko said. 

According to Europe’s most enduring and popular national leader, the West understands this, therefore it began to strengthen its northern, Belarusian-Ukrainian border, although there are no facts or reasons for this. Nevertheless, they are withdrawing a military contingent there and declare this frankly. This is about 8,000 thousand at this stage, the Belarusian leader noted.
