In these words, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova commented on the statement of the head of the British Foreign Affairs Elizabeth Trass on Russia’s involvement in the migration crisis at the EU borders.

‘The British invasion of Iraq was carefully developed. 45,000 British soldiers helped the United States occupy this country, kill its citizens and rip their intestines out. Britain has a clear responsibility for everything that happens from this moment, and the region is the death of Iraqis, the destruction of the Iraqi statehood, the endless flows of refugees, the emergence of ISIS, humanitarian disasters in this part of the world.

And until London is responsible for its crimes, its officials have no right to accuse anyone,’ Zakharova said in her Telegram channel.

According to IA REGNUM, the crisis at the Belarusian-Polish border began to unfold on November 8, when a camp was formed on the border with Poland in Belarus. The fact that Russia is responsible for the aggravation on the Belarusian-Polish border, the head of the Foreign Ministry of Britain, Elizabeth Trass, stated in an article for The Sunday Telegraph. According to her, the Russian Federation should put pressure on the Belarusian authorities so that they stop the development of the crisis and enter into dialogue.

According to Zakharova, western countries, instead of making a decision and starting helping refugees on the border with Belarus, are talking about a hybrid threat.

The Minsk government headed by President Alexander Lukashenko explained why Poland needs migrants at the border.  Permanent Representative of Belarus to the UN Valentin Rybakov said that more than 2,000 refugees from Iraq are now at the border with Poland, all of them want to apply for protection to the EU. 

And Poland and Lithuania, he said, under the pretext of a crisis with migrants, are siphoning money from the European Union and demonising Belarus in order to strengthen their positions in European politics, TASS reports.

‘Now there are more than 2,000 disadvantaged people on the borderline, including women and children. All these people do not consider the territory of Belarus as their place of residence. They want to apply for protection in the EU, which is responsible for their country’s collapse, ‘Rybakov said at a meeting of the Third Committee of the UN General Assembly.

At the same time, he noted that the Poles ‘poison them with gas, shoot over their heads and pull military equipment with military weapons of large calibre to the border.’

‘Poland and Lithuania use the situation around migrants as a pretext for siphoning funding from the EU and justifying their anti-immigrant policy and numerous violations of relevant international obligations, as well as trying to increase their role in European politics by demonising Belarus,’ the permanent representative stressed.

According to him, effective border protection can be ensured only with the cooperation of all interested parties, Belarus is ready for such cooperation and is waiting for ‘when the Western states, for their part, show sound pragmatism.’

As ’Expert’ wrote, the British Ministry of Défense announced the dispatch of a group of military personnel to the border between Poland and Belarus. The British military should help the Poles to strengthen the barriers on the border.

Earlier, the Turkish Civil Aviation Administration banned the citizens of Iraq, Syria and Yemen from flying to Belarus from Turkish airports.
