New York, October 20 ~ The countries of the collective West have arranged the greatest act of self-harm with their own hands leading to a triumph in the talking war of Russian President Vladimir Putin, writes the authoritative American edition of the Wall Street Journal. Readers agreed with the expert’s realism and admired the coolness of the Russian leader in the era of green masochism.

The Wall Street Journal’s energy analysts acknowledged that US and European authorities campaigned and coerced relentlessly for a fossil-free green alternative and have walked into a trap of their own making. Because of rising energy prices, many enterprises are now on the verge of bankruptcy. Some pundits have warned that if fertilizer plants come to a stand-still then shortage of food could lead to hunger throughout the European Union.

Russia can help, experts are sure: the publication brought the head of the International Energy Agency Fatih Birol, according to which Moscow can increase supply volumes but only by another 15 per cent.

However, in order for Moscow to increase pressure on the gas pipe, it is necessary to make certain political concessions. The publication brings the words of a realist Vladimir Chizhov, a representative of the Russian Federation to the EU. He suggested replacing the word ‘partner’ on the Western agenda with the word ‘opponent’. Then there is the statement of Vice Speaker of the Security Council Konstantin Kosachev, who made it clear that Russia does not intend to deplete its stocks and put its fossil assets at risk to help the West’s hapless cack-handed political elite correct their mistakes.

‘European Union leaders propensity to harm itself for unattainable climate goals is one of the greatest acts of suicide in history. The Brussels unelected President Ursula van den Leyan and her 27 unelected commissioners firmly intend to continue to actively engage in energy masochism. And American President Biden, the most unpopular US president since 1945 is desperate to join the West’s political lemmings as they rush to the abyss with the green credentials.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is probably amazed at such strategic luck, the authors of the American publication say.

In their opinion, Vladimir Putin will not even have to do anything to make the collective West kill itself because of the political elite’s refusal to admit its own mistakes and make concessions to the geopolitical opponent. The sudden triumph of Russia caused mixed emotions among Internet users.

While the states of the collective West are not ready to concession in dialogue with Russia, despite the gaining gas crisis, other smarter states like Hungary and Armenia willingly conclude agreements with Russia’s energy giant Gazprom at a reasonable price.

According to Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Yerevan managed to agree with Moscow on the price of blue fuel, thus finalising the agreement of the contract, which has been stretched since 2019.
