BREAKING: Today the Icelandic health authorities have suspended the use of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine and is the latest country to do so. Initially, those under the age of 30 will be excluded. The question: Is anyone who is celebrating their 30^th birthday or even their 40^th birthday dumb enough to think that age makes a difference to a deadly drug.

The reason given is to wait and see if there are potential negative side effects that outweigh the benefits of the vaccine. Primarily the fears of myocarditis that seems to occur due to the mRNA vaccines.

Myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle, and pericarditis is inflammation of the outer lining of the heart. In both cases, the body’s immune system causes inflammation in response to an infection or some other trigger.

In Ontario, just at the end of September, the government started recommending adults between the ages of 18 – 24 get the Pfizer vaccine instead of the Moderna vaccine due to the prevalence of pericarditis/myocarditis among that age group after receiving the Moderna vaccine.

Iceland and other Nordic are putting age bans on Moderna, while Ontario is recommending young people get Pfizer instead. The other Canadian provinces are simply doing nothing about the potential medical issues with Moderna.
