PAX Mediterranean to Challenge the Unelected Brussels Cult

Santiago Abascal, Italy’s Giorgia Meloni and André Ventura is to form an alliance in defence of Southern Europe against the threat of the Brussels bureaucrats.

In Spain, the president of VOX, Santiago Abascal, Italy’s leader of Fratelli d’Italia (Brothers of Italy) Giorgia Meloni, and the leader of the Portuguese right-wing party CHEGA, André Ventura, met this Sunday in the framework of the Viva 21 convention held in Madrid and organised by VOX to present the Spain Agenda against the globalist Agenda 2030, sponsored by the rest of the formations of the parliamentary arch, NGOs and climate lobbies.

The three leaders agreed on the importance of creating strong and secure borders to protect the identity of the different European nations, the prosperity of their fellow citizens and coexistence in their neighbourhoods; respect for national sovereignty, ‘where true democracy resides’; and the defence of the family, the culture of life, the freedom of parents to choose the education of their children and the traditions of the Member States.

As a consequence, the axis is committed to launching a forum for collaboration of patriots from southern Europe with similarities in terms of identity, history, customs, values and geopolitical vocation with the aim of giving an alternative impulse to the European project.

In his speech, André Ventura pointed out that Portugal, Spain, Greece and Italy ‘have decided to strengthen ties because there is a real threat to our societies. We have to come together to change the idea that northern Europe works and southern Europe does not. We have the same right to be European and to want a better, strong and secure Europe ‘.

For her part, Giorgia Meloni has pointed out that ’identity is the main enemy of the globalist current ‘Everything that identifies us is being attacked, but we will not allow it. The current European Union is a caricature of European civilization, with its need to eliminate differences, to impose absurd directives.

‘There is another possible Europe and to build it, our strong alliance between Spaniards and Italians will be fundamental, together with the sister peoples who are united to us by the same Latin matrix. This will allow us to build a more balanced Europe and we will be able to rediscover the true values that have founded Europe,’ she asserted.

In addition, they have reaffirmed their commitment to defending the rule of law in the Ibero-sphere against the threat of communism. Meloni and Ventura signed the ‘Madrid Charter’ sponsored by Abascal in October 2020 and which has already been signed by more than 8,000 people from more than 20 countries, and which aspires to unite defenders of freedom against leftist totalitarianism both sides of the Atlantic.

‘It is an extraordinary manifesto of values to join forces and help our Latin American brothers to free themselves from the game of social-communist governments that are weakening their people,’ said Meloni at the Viva 21 event.

Thus, it states that ‘the advance of communism poses a serious threat to the prosperity and development of nations’ and points out that ‘the rule of law, the rule of law, the separation of powers, freedom of expression and property private are essential elements that must be protected against those who try to undermine them.
