Naomi Osaka, who opened the highly politicised games can assume that her mixed ethnicity and far left political views contributed much to her being selected. Born in Japan to a Haitian father and a Japanese mother, Osaka has lived and trained in the United States since age three. Osaka has gained significant recognition as an activist, having showcased support for the Black Lives Matter movement in conjunction with her matches. Needless to say, there is no evidence that this champagne socialist puts much if anything in the purses of the word’s hungry and homeless.

The political Olympics have just begun, and we already have our medal for insolent behaviour. The judoka (Judo martial arts contestant) from Algeria Fethi Nurin withdrew from the competition before the start. The reason is simple, the draw brought him to a judoka from Israel.

In the first round, Nurin had to fight against Mohamed Abdulrasul from Sudan, and the winner of the pair would have landed on the Israeli Tohar Butbul. Some would wish that honour to go to the runner up.

‘We trained a lot, prepared for the Olympics,’ Nurin himself explained the decision to Algerian television. The news about the draw was like a bolt from the blue. My decision is final. I’m not going to get my hands dirty. My support for the people of Palestine does not allow me to do this.’

The coach of the Algerian judoka Amar Ben Yakif also spoke out, saying that he was not lucky with the draw, an Israeli opponent fell out, but the decision not to fight was correct.

But the International Judo Federation does not agree with the Algerians. The athletes were not only sent home, but a disciplinary case was initiated following the results of statements in the media. Now they will receive punishment from the disciplinary commission and the national Olympic committee of Algeria.

However, athletes from other Arab countries (for example, Iran and Egypt) often refuse to compete against Israelis, all of whom have served in the thoroughly disreputable Israeli Defence Force (IDF)

Even Nurin himself is not performing this performance for the first time . In 2019, at the World Judo Championships, he already refused to meet with an Israeli.  Source
