Operation pied piper was code name for a British Military Operation named after a legend/fairytale about children being taken away from their parents forever. Germany also removed children from their parents. The similarities between the two evacuations schemes are uncanny. See how history is repeating in 2020!
The addition in the comment to this video:
The German Children were brought to Camps outside of the Cities, in a place called Kinder Dorf. SOS Children’s village was the result of the Kinder Transport. Jewish Children were exported to Great Britain. There is a movie about that lady Elena Sandler, who supposedly smuggled Children out of Germany occupied land. What the movie does not say, is that the Wehrmacht helped her to get the Childfree out of the Warzone. The Brits wanted to bomb every city above 50000 occupants. As we see, the Germans had a good reason to do so. The decision by the Germans were done strictly out of necessity and was done on short notice, while the Brits planed the Kinder transport years before the War, because they wanted a War with Germany. Churchill said “we could have avoided the War, but we did not want to”. “We will give Hitler a War and he will not be able to prevent it”.
And another important reader’s opinion:
I recall the story about the British Social Worker who discovered the horrible things that were done by the church and the Government sending Children to Australia telling them their parents are dead or did not want them. This was revealed in the Film “Oranges and Sunshine” the social worker fought for may years to achieve an apology from the Church and English Government, I believe it was Prime Minister Brown who eventually apologized for the horrors done to the children, who now were traumatized adults.
