A 6-year-old dog named Harley from the United States became a celebrity on social networks after rescuing a tiny deer from a lake.

The dog lives on the shore of the lake with its owners, Ralph and Patricia Dorn, former military personnel. Harley also served – he worked for several years as a therapy dog with children and the elderly.

Obviously, Harley’s habit of caring for others has continued, his owners say. The dog was walking behind the house on the shore of the lake and heard the bleating of a drowning deer. He threw himself into the water, picked up the baby and helped him swim ashore. Harley did not leave the fawn even a step, licked it and checked if everything was in order.

When the fawn dried out and fled into the forest, Harley returned to the house. But the next morning, the dog began to rush around the house and look out the windows. As soon as the owners let the dog out into the street, he ran to the trees in search of his new friend. To the surprise of the Dorns, the fawn soon ran to its rescuer and wagged its tail in a friendly manner. After making sure the baby was okay, Harley calmed down.
