Over far more years than I can count on your fingers and toes and mine, I was compelled to save wise or endearing quotations as I chanced upon them. As it was long before home computers or self-publishing was an option, I had no idea what I was going to do with them. Like the stuff in the attic I just could not bring myself to discard them.
Reaching the age where my candle starts to splutter I decided that it was time for a reality check. Explaining to my other half that it was ‘time to empty the loft’, she suggested that I instead publish my collection of wise romantic, compellingly endearing and unforgettable quotes.

The quotes are, of course, inspiring. And so wisely or maybe not so wisely I hit on the volume’s title. Such was the genesis of Inspire a Nation. There is an earlier volume so here we have Inspire a Nation Volume I and Volume II. The former tends towards philosophical and famously political witticisms; we’re all familiar with political repartee and quick wit, and with the likes of Mark Twain’s sagacity.
For those searching for inspiration and enlightenment, there are of course many sources of literature to choose from. Inspire a Nation Volume II chooses to meet the browser’s expectation but to go a league further.
Inspire a Nation I and Volume II by award-winning writer Michael Walsh set out to challenge conventional thinking. The author’s inspiration finds its genesis in the words of Friedrich Nietzsche: People don’t want to hear the truth as they don’t want their illusions destroyed.

Those who don’t want their illusions destroyed may well be advised to look elsewhere. Inspire a Nation Volumes I and II contain many quotes that will cause them to mutter beneath their breath, ‘Well, I didn’t know that’.
Take your time for neither volume is intended to be read like a novel before being put to one side. Pick a copy up whenever you’re at a loose end, need something to pass the time or you would like to have your thoughts provoked before you snuggle down for the night.
You can find both books on Amazon. If you’re not too late, either reasonably priced volume that can be shipped directly to the recipient can be ordered for the season’s best wishes. ~ Michael Walsh.
