A large body of Austrian nationalists dismissed as ‘a group’ by mainstream media, held an impressive rally in Vienna, condemning recent Islamic terror attacks and urging the government to act against Islamist radicals. They were met by counter-protesters and media journalists, who condemned the activists as ‘Nazis’.

Scores, perhaps over 100 ethnic-Germans (Austrians) activists protested in central Vienna overnight, decrying ’Islamic terrorism’ and ‘population exchange’ 9migration) with other EU countries.

The demonstrators held large banners and placards with many Austrian flags self-evident. One banner read ’Stop Islamic terrorism’. There were calls including ‘Home, freedom, and tradition.’ 

Mainstream media, state-subservient was denied the opportunity to blame the Islamic attack merely on the grounds that the firefight had broken out in the vicinity of a synagogue.

Nationalist demonstrators were confronted by a group of left-wing counter-protesters and left-leaning journalists, who donned black bloc-style garb. These rival activists carried a large banner reading ’Never let the fascists have the streets. Prevent Nazi march on 11 June.’

The rallies came in the aftermath of the lethal terrorist attacks that hit Austria’s capital on November 2. Four people were cut down and callously slaughtered in central Vienna. During the Islamic attack, carried out by a migrant with a record for Islamic violence, 23 more were wounded in shootings across the city. The main suspect, who was killed by police, turned out to be an Austrian citizen identified as Kujtim Fejzulai, who also held a North Macedonian passport and had a previous terror conviction in Austria.

Some 15 people, said to belong to a radical Islamist network, have been detained in the aftermath of the shootings. Responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorist group. Source
